Grace and Hope Board of Directors
Judy Tyree, MBA – Chair: We are honored to have Mrs. Judy Tyree serve as Chair on the Board of Directors. Mrs. Tyree has both a Masters and Bachelors degree in Business Administration. Currently the Executive Director of Interfaith Adult Day Care, Judy Tyree has served with dedication and diligence on numerous community service boards and advisory councils in Petersburg and Colonial Heights, VA. Ms. Tyree was also recently awarded the Outgoing Board of Directors Award for 2013-2016 from the Colonial Heights Chamber of Commerce, where she previously served as Board Chair.
Sarah Ann James – Vice-Chair: Ms. Sarah Anne James brings education and financial expertise to our Board. She earned a Bachelor Degree in Political Science, and is a former Vice President of a Community Bank. Ms. James is also a former Chairman and Board Member of the Charles City School Board.
Dr. Carla Lynette King, MD – Treasurer: Dr. Lynette King, MD is a Board Certified Pediatrician. She serves as a Board Member for the Richmond Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy. In addition, she serves on the Case Review Team for Department of Social Service – Foster Care.
Letetia Mullenix, Ed.S. – Secretary: Mrs. Letetia Mullenix, or Mrs. M, is the founding Head of School for Grace and Hope Academy. She is a Curriculum Specialist, and has an Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Masters in Special Education. Mrs. M is also an strong advocate of parents, and formerly homeschooled for almost a decade. She has worked as both a public and private school educator, and served on multiple community service boards in the Central and South Central Virginia.
Annette Jones-Rogers – Board member: Ms. Annette Jones-Rogers brings an expertise in public service and asset management to our Board. She received a Masters in Education (concentration in Counseling) and earned a Bachelors in Mass Communications (concentration in Public Relations). Ms. Jones-Rogers also successfully managed approximately $8 million in federal funds for a public 4 year university. She has volunteered with a local non-profit for multiple years, and proudly served our country for 4 years in the U.S. Air Force.
