At Grace and Hope Academy,
Our vision is to be a school where learners enter, but self-directed, service-committed, Christ-centered, world-leaders leave.
Every child has the right to an exceptional education.
Every child. Especially yours.
We believe that every child has the right to an exceptional education, and that each one deserves to have their individual interests, abilities, and needs considered. We also believe that family is the child’s first teacher, and therefore they are integral to the learning process. By strengthening and empowering families, we can help strengthen students. Further, communities grow stronger when families have been empowered. Research continually demonstrates that schools are most effective when communities, educational institutions and families work in concert, collaboratively identifying needs and creatively problem-solving solutions.
In addition, today’s ever-changing culture permeates every aspect our lives. We are continually fed the values, ideals and beliefs of others. Unfortunately, many post-modern values can contradict our own, and those we wish to pass to our children. While we firmly believe that it is important for children to understand and respect the ideals of others, we believe that it is vital for children to be given the opportunity to engage in learning that answers the question “What is truth?”
As Christians, we that we have an answer to that question, and His name is Christ, the Savior, our King.
Finally, we not only want children to be successful learners, we want children to grow into life-long learners. Life-long learners are students who were allowed to love learning.
The place of learning was both comfortable –
They were given choices about what and how they could learn.
They were encouraged to immerse themselves in topics of their interest –
and allowed to pursue learning through methods they found exciting.
We get that. We embrace that.
